We’d spent the better part of the day, and most of the previous day, working on our websites, Rustic-Lodge-Lifestyle.com and Smart-Heart-Living.com, so we were feeling in desperate need of fresh air and exercise. The previous day [...]

Coming soon to a YouTube near you: Adventures with Fitzgerald the Dump Truck!
This is Fitzgerald:
And although our trusty, old, beat-up, rusty Nissan pick-up will feature prominently in the clips, these will not be about the truck… it’s just an interesting angle (and amazing that he still runs!).

On our way back from our “Canoe Trip from Hell!!” (see posting below) I saw something on the road ahead that I thought might be a moose. But it was pretty far in the distance so I was sure it would be long gone before we got close.

As posted earlier, we got a dog a couple of months ago. He’s a 2 1/2 year old lab/boxer cross [...]

Last night, before retiring for the night, I stepped onto the porch to breath in some fresh country air, and get a sense of what the weather was doing. It was an incredibly calm night… this was about midnight.
As my eyes adjusted to the dark (and it was very dark given the overcast skies) a [...]

We have experienced many “special” times at our lodge retreat. And every once in a while, a weekend stands out as being extra special. We’ve just returned from one of those very memorable times.
We are blessed with five wonderful grandchildren. And we spend as much time with them as we can. Leading up to this [...]
